Always looking for
creative solutions. An automotive replacement parts manufacturer decided to
outsource which included a significant returnable requirement. We assisted with
the transportation design, internal process design, and outsourcing
initative. |
Another client asked us to
develop a new model for European distribution, develop specifications, and
manage outsourcing. Our design resulted in a warehouse that would function as a
crossdock and a merge-in-transit facility and the 3PL selected is responsible
for outbound transportation management as well. |
| provide Value. |
A building materials
manufacturer [client since 1994] required a complete supply chain study. This
resulted in modifications to manufacturing scheduling, inventory management
practices, and implementation of a number of crossdocks together with a
restructuring of the clients sizeable fleet operations. |
A major transportation
provider was engaged in a possible acquisition of another specialized
transportation company. This client asked us to advise them on deal structure
and assist with due diligence work. An acceptable bid and deal structure was
crafted meeting the client's expectations and timing. |
| minimize supply chain Costs.

Reducing carrier rates are
usually less than half the story. We know the major benefits of eliminating
supply chain costs can overshadow vendor considerations. This occurred with a
diversified Fortune 500 manufacturer for which we made practical
recommendations that resulted in significant savings after
implementation. |
A leading manufacturer of
heating and air conditioning systems needed its customer delivery operations
outsourced. We re-engineered the logistics design eliminating significant cost
and negotiated the supplier contract. |

a proven Methodology. |
Our approach is to generate
solutions that clients can use quickly and cost effectively. In outsourcing, we
manage the selection process from start through contract negotiations and
implementation. This resulted in $4MM annual savings for a fiber materials
manufacturer. |
A nationwide medical
products distributor sought differentiation in the marketplace and also needed
to take cost out of customer delivery. The business was fast growing and
customer service was suffering. We designed and implemented a customized next
day delivery system within a 150-mile radius of each DC using company route
managers and leased trucks. This program met expectations in cost reduction and
service improvement to customers of all size. |
